This vineyard is situated in the foothills of the southern Adelaide Hills which rise out of McLaren Vale to the east of the region. The vineyard faces west and is warmed by the evening sun. As it is slightly elevated from the valley floor it received cooling breezes from the ocean which retains acidity and allows full expression of the spicy shiraz from this region. This wine is garnet with purple hues. Aromas of briar fruit and spicy vanillin oak are further complexed by chocolate and liquorice aromas.
